Don MacDonald Optimist Bursaries
2026 Bursary awards
The Don MacDonald Optimist Student Bursaries are awarded annually to ten graduating Oakville students for their post-secondary education.
Each student receives a bursary of $2,500.
Bursary winners are students who have maintained good grades, have volunteered in their school or the community and who demonstrate a financial need.
A Bursary Awards evening is held in early June to congratulate our student recipients.
Our club congratulates all bursary winners and wish them the very best in their future education.
Applications for the bursary are made via the Community Education Awards Hub on the website of the Oakville Community Foundation (click on link below).
The Hub begins accepting applications on February 9, 2026. The deadline for applications is April 23, 2026.
